Sew ’n’ Sews
Sew and Sews is a small, friendly group of crafters and quilters from around the local villages who meet on the 2nd Friday of each month between 2 – 4 pm. We have a variety of meetings including guest speakers, mini workshops and project sessions. We also have had all day workshops during the year.
At present we are meeting at The Sawpits Centre in Towcester which used to be the old library. Pedestrian access is from Richmond Road just down from Waitrose or Watling Street through the alleyway next to Hartwell's and Towbury Court and 185.. There is a small car park with a disabled bay.
The current programme begins on Aug 13th with Lis Mann talking about her life in Textile Art and continues with sessions on making Book covers with Linda Paice, 'Embroidering the Truth' presented by Deborah Collum, an all day workshop on Thermofax print and stitch with Fiona Metcalfe, a talk by Sue Fowler on her Elizabethan Stumpwork Casket, and Trish Hughes leading a Christmas themed session on free motion machining
